Minimum 3 years’ related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven operational supervisory skills and thorough understanding of the role
Good knowledge of MS Office
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize workload and work quickly and accurately under pressure whilst maintaining a calm demeanor
Job Specification
Train, mentor, schedule, and evaluate laundry attendants to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols
Oversee daily washing, drying, ironing, and folding processes for guests, staff, or residents
Inspect finished linens and garments to ensure they meet cleanliness and presentation standards
Ensures that established infection control and universal precaution practices are followed as some tasks may involve exposure to blood/body fluids
Monitor machinery, perform minor repairs, and coordinate with engineering team for maintenance to prevent downtime
Track and order cleaning chemicals, supplies, and linens, conducting regular inventory counts to ensure adequate stock levels
Maintain a clean and sanitized work area enforcing hospital department regulations and protocols
Assigns schedules and duties to laundry staff
Makes rounds and inspections to assure that laundry personnel are performing required duties, appropriate laundry procedures are being rendered, and quality control measures are continually maintained.
Efficiently and courteously deal with all guests’ complaints and ensure escalation to Executive Housekeeper when necessary so follow up is actioned accordingly
