Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role is suited for a practical, detail-oriented professional who can independently handle core quantity surveying functions while working closely with project teams on cost control, valuations, procurement support, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, bills of quantities, and cost plans.
Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents for measurement and pricing.
Assist in tendering, subcontractor comparisons, and procurement evaluations.
Monitor project costs, variations, and budget performance.
Maintain records of quantities, site instructions, variations, and cost movements.
Support the commercial administration of projects from commencement to completion.
Coordinate with site teams, project managers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Approximately 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
Good understanding of BOQ preparation, valuations, variation assessment, and cost reporting.
Familiarity with construction contracts and project commercial procedures.
Strong Excel skills and confidence with measurement and estimating workflows.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently, stay organised, and meet deadlines.

Preferred

Experience in building, resort, renovation, fit-out, civil, excavation, or infrastructure-related projects.
Experience working with contractors or construction companies in the Maldives or abroad.
