Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role is suited for a practical, detail-oriented professional who can independently handle core quantity surveying functions while working closely with project teams on cost control, valuations, procurement support, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, bills of quantities, and cost plans.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents for measurement and pricing.
- Assist in tendering, subcontractor comparisons, and procurement evaluations.
- Monitor project costs, variations, and budget performance.
- Maintain records of quantities, site instructions, variations, and cost movements.
- Support the commercial administration of projects from commencement to completion.
- Coordinate with site teams, project managers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Approximately 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
- Good understanding of BOQ preparation, valuations, variation assessment, and cost reporting.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and project commercial procedures.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence with measurement and estimating workflows.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently, stay organised, and meet deadlines.
Preferred
- Experience in building, resort, renovation, fit-out, civil, excavation, or infrastructure-related projects.
- Experience working with contractors or construction companies in the Maldives or abroad.
