Monitor patient’s intra cardiac pressures and ECG whilst the patient is undergoing the invasive cardiac procedures both right and left heart studies.
Report operating clinician of any adverse reactions during the procedure. Responsible for cardiac massage and defibrillation in the event of a cardiac arrest, and preparing emergency pacing equipment for temporary pacing in the event of an emergency
Assist to perform the procedures including angiography, PCI, CTO, IVUS, Rotablation, pressure wire, peripheral PCI, temporary and permanent pacemaker implants. Also assisting and performing cardiologist during non-invasive procedures in cath lab, ICU as well as Diagnostic Department.
Responsible for patient registration, file work, maintaining the consumable stock, report preparation and patient scheduling.
Responsible for the maintenance, quality assurance and infection control of any equipment used in order to maintain quality standards
To ensure patients are monitored appropriately during investigations and ensuring swift and appropriate action is taken to minimize life threatening or significant medical events
To liaise with relevant medical, nursing and clerical staff when required
