General Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Excellent sewing and tailoring skills, and attention to detail
Ability to use different types of sewing equipment and tools
Knowledge of various upholstery techniques, materials and tools
Basic English language skills
Physically fit to endure long working hours
Ability to follow instructions and to work independently
Job Specification
Sew, create, reproduce, label and modify facility provided clothing, linen and covers within the hospital standards
Alter hospital-provided uniforms/clothing to fit better
Install, fabricate and do the necessary repairs of hospital interior components such as drapes, equipment covers, seats and cushion fillings and covers, etc.
Replace fabrics, fillings, and furniture components
Maintain order and condition of work areas, tailoring equipment and materials, and of upholstery tools
Assist in the proper inventory of uniforms, fabrics and other accessories
Coordinate with the head of the department for ordering new uniforms & tailoring items
Support laundry team whenever needed
Any other relevant tasks as assigned by the Head of the Department
