FDC is seeking to hire a Software Developer to work with the IT team and address the software
development needs of the corporation. The overall work shall be managed and lead by the Assistant
Manager, IT and Infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop solutions for in-house applications aligned with corporate requirements on an agreed
timeline.
2. Maintenance and enhancement of company website.
3. Integrating data from various back-end services and databases.
4. Assist in creating and maintaining software and systems along with its related technical
documentation, operation documentation and user guidelines in accordance with standards.
5. Assist in system implementation and training of developed systems
6. Technical support and maintain applications development and production environment.
7. Join scheduled meetings (physical/online) for regular updates regarding ongoing projects.

DELIVERABLES
1. Prepare development timeline/plan for in-house applications aligned with corporate requirements
within 2 weeks from work commencement date.
2. Execute and monitor the work delivery in accordance with the development timeline/plan.
3. Dedicate minimum of 5 contact hours weekly for development work.
4. Attend to meetings and discussions with the IT team, relevant departments, management, and other
stakeholders, physically or online where required.

REQUIREMENTS
1. Completion of MQA Level 7 Qualification in Computer Science and 6 (six) years of programming
experience or
2. Completion of MQA Level 9 Qualification in Computer Science and 4 (four) years of programming
experience.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
1. Working knowledge of backend and frontend frameworks such as but not limited to Laravel, ExpressJS, ReactJS, NextJS etc.
2. Should follow software development methodologies and OWASP guidelines to develop high performance, secure and lightweight applications.
3. Knowledge and understanding of how containerization works, and experience with such technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
4. Skilled and adept at Database management, and the ability to decide between SQL and NoSQL databases for projects whenever necessary.
5. Should have experience in dealing with top hosting services / have a good understanding of Linux based systems to deploy and maintain in-house / external systems
6. Ability to grasp complex functional and non-functional requirements quickly and deliver within reasonable time frames
7. Solid understanding of APIs, microservices and various integration technologies. Ability to practice API architecture such as REST API, etc.
8. Good interpersonal and communication skills.

CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Contract Duration: 1 (one) year
Gross compensation: MVR 15,000
The developer is required to submit invoice before 5th of each month with the detailed list of work carried out.
