Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing crucial financial insights to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Perform financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement.
Coordinate and complete annual audits.
Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Ensure accurate and timely closing of accounts on a monthly and yearly basis.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to support overall business goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in the seafood or manufacturing industry is a plus.
