Safari Boat Captain – Safari Operations

• Responsible for the boat and safety of all crew and guests onboard
• Ensure smooth travelling, taking into consideration all safety measures
• Prepare and allocate work for the crew onboard
• Maintain boats at seaworthy condition at all times for any trip
• Lead crew by example
• Captain to decide on safe harbors for the boats during trips
• Responsibility of maintaining general good condition of the boat at all times
• Discuss with the cook and supplies department in organizing supplies for upcoming trips
• Work closely with Safari Operations team, maintenance department, Male office team and airport staff
• Act as tour guide on trips where necessary
• Keep records of use of power source (Gen Set, Main Engine) onboard the boat
• Responsibe for keeping the costs at a minimum regarding all aspects of operation of the boat
• Responsible for the safety of the boat and its equipment at all times
• Attend to any other work required by Company
