General Requirements

  • Diploma in Pharmacy
  • Minimum 2 years’ work experience in related field
  • Good Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure
  • Team oriented
  • Able to communicate effectively in English & Dhivehi

Job Specification

  • Review prescriptions
  • Dispense medications for patients
  • Counselling patient on the use and storage of medications, and advising about the approach to managing adverse drug reactions
  • Providing drug information to the hospital, other hospitals and the general public
  • Liaise with Doctors, Nurses and other Health Care Professionals to ensure safe, effective and economic delivery of drug treatment
  • Ensure medicines are stored appropriately and organized in an efficient manner for easier identification
  • Participate in semi-annual stock take and its reconciliation
  • Maintain allocated shelves – monthly stock report of items on the shelves
  • Maintain file of expiry of drugs in the pharmacy
  • Documentation of pharmaceutical interventions
  • Documentation of near-miss and medication errors (if any)
  • Involved in collecting and assessing of KPIs
