Job Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT
Possession of a graduate degree or certificate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited professional educational program.
Minimum of 12 months experience as a licensed therapist.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
Ability to recognize signs of distress.
Basic computer skills in word processing and on line communication.
Possession of good interpersonal, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skills.
SCOPE OF WORK
Conduct developmental screening/assessments and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family.
Evaluate patients with a variety of diagnoses (e.g., fine motor development, play skill development, and sensory differences) in pediatric clients and develop treatment plans and formulates goals
Co-treat with other disciplines.
Collaborate regularly with external team members such as school clinicians, private practitioners, hospital based therapists, physicians, teachers.
Educate family members and caregivers on different strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over of recommendations to community setting.
Provide diagnostic services in diverse settings such as patient homes, family or daycare homes, daycare centers, and/or other community settings
Participate as a team member in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and/or Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and meetings
Able to interact positively, cooperatively, and respectfully with all collaborators and stakeholders including patients, families, employees, and other health care providers
