General Requirements

  • MBBS Degree or Doctor of Medicine
  • Must have a permanent registration and practicing license from MMDC
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Must be fluent in English and Dhivehi
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural team

Job Specification

    • Duties include night and day at regular intervals
    • Hand-over / Take-over includes all information relevant to continuity of patient care
    • Order laboratory and Radiological investigations and interpret their results
    • Maintain confidentiality and impartiality of the patients at all times
    • Educate patients about the advantages, disadvantages, risks and alternatives regarding a proposed treatment or operation
    • Explain procedures or prescribed treatments to patients
    • Provide general pre and post-operative care
    • Monitor and administer medication when indicated
    • Evaluate effectiveness of current care methods and procedures and suggest improvements
    • Facilitate admission and discharge processes
    • Any other work assigned by Head of the Department
