General Requirements

  • BDS or MBBS or Degree in Healthcare Management or any relevant field
  • 5 years of hospital experience
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment
  • International experience is an added advantage

 

Job Specification

  • Assist the Medical Director in management of day-to-day functions of the Medical Services of the hospital.
  • Prepare necessary reports and analysis as directed by Director of Medical Services
  • Coordinate training programs related to medical administration and doctors
  • Managing and uploading rosters of doctors
  • Assist the Medical Director in planning, organizing and managing all Medical Services of the Hospital
  • Serve as an interface between the Medical and Operations Departments of the Hospital
  • Ability to provide operational oversight to the hospital.
  • Design, interpret and ensure effective implementation of policies, procedures and administrative rules.
  • Monitor, participate and collaborate with other departments in the implementation of JCI and other quality improvement programs.
  • Supervise and ensure that all clinical policies and procedures within the Hospital meet the requirements of licensing or accrediting bodies.
  • Utilize appropriate resources including the clinical support of the Medical Director to resolve routine medical and clinical issues and performance improvement process
  • Facilitate clinical audit and investigations into guest complaints and incidents.
  • Review and ensure the renewal of the contracts of visiting consultants.
  • Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations and international best practice.
  • Maintaining duty rosters of Consultants, Medical Officers and Allied Staff.
  • Keep track of Doctors leaves, ensuring adequate staffing of medical and allied staff round the clock.
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Medical Director
