General Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sharia and Law from an accredited institution
  • Should hold a valid legal practitioner license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within a legal practice
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory law with demonstrated capacity for professional legal work in a business environment
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate and employment law and procedures
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dhivehi

 

Job Specification

  • Provide accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance, etc...
  • Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and legal material ensuring compliance with all statutory or legal requirements relevant to the hospital’s business processes
  • Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance
  • Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues
  • Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
  • Liaise with appropriate regulatory authorities on legal matters on behalf of the Company
  • Support the Executive Office with administrative duties when required
