RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and implement applications or new features based on requirements of the corporation.
2. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code that adheres to coding standards.
3. Design and implement user interfaces for web-based/mobile applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
4. Develop APIs required for integration with other information systems.
5. Integrate developed applications with other external/internal APIs.
6. Maintain development and production environments of developed applications.
7. Contribute to the development of technical documentation, and user guides in accordance with standards.
8. Work with project manager and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to specification.
9. Join scheduled meetings (physical/online) for regular updates regarding ongoing projects.
10. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

DELIVERABLES

1. Prepare development timeline/plan for development of applications aligned with corporate requirements within 2 weeks from work commencement date.
2. Execute and monitor work delivery in accordance with the development timeline/plan.
3. Dedicate a minimum of 5 contact hours weekly for development work.
4. Join meetings and discussions with the development team, relevant departments, management, and other stakeholders, physically or virtually where required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Completion of MQA Level 7 Qualification in Computer Science or related field with minimum 6 (six) year of professional work experience in the field. Or,
• Completion of MQA Level 9 Qualification in Computer Science or related field with minimum 4 (four) year of professional work experience in the field.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

1. Proficiency in at least one programming language and familiarity with a variety of languages.
2. Proficiency in one or more of the following frameworks/libraries. React, Vue.js, Node.js, Laravel.
3. Experience with version control systems such as Git.
4. Familiarity with testing frameworks and the ability to write automated tests.
5. Experience with database design and management.
6. Experience in UX/UI design will be an added advantage.
7. Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
