Job Description

General Requirements

Sc. Nursing / Masters in Nursing with Midwifery
Registered Nurse Midwife at a Licensing Authority
Minimum 7 years in nursing practice and 2 years in a supervisory role as Head Nurse or Charge Nurse in medical/surgical ward
Ability to plan and prioritize
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Good collaboration, communication and teamwork skills

Job Specification

Ensure that nursing care meets regulatory standards
Review nursing policies and procedures
Evaluate nursing staff performance
Collaborate with nursing staff and management in the coordination of patient care
Train nursing staff and coordinate educational programs for patients and their families
Implement quality assurance systems
Assign and schedule activities for nursing staff
Supervise acquisition of medical supplies and equipment needed for patient care
Coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Perform administrative and managerial functions
