General Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Paediatric Medicine
Dual training in another pediatric speciality apart from General Paediatrics; Highly desirable qualification in Neonatology or Community Child Health or another pediatric field of specialty practice
Minimum 6 years’ clinical experience
Experience in international and multi-cultural environment is an added advantage
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
Job Specification
Provide efficient and high quality paediatric services for younger patients, from infants, adolescents to young adults, to maintain their health, diagnose and treat illness or developmental problems, and monitor their growth and development.
Gather and document patients' medical histories
Diagnose and treat ailments, injuries and medical conditions, minor or serious, that are common in the younger population.
Prescribe medication and order appropriate treatments such as vaccinations, surgery and other therapies
Hospitalize as needed any patient requiring in-patient care; provide medical care in accordance with the accepted medical standards during the hospitalization.
Track patients' conditions over time and adjust treatments as needed.
Complete records of diagnoses and recommendations in adequate professional detail, and in a timely manner
Required to participate in departmental audit procedures and other quality improvement/assurance activities as required
Display commitment through actively supporting all health and safety initiatives
Work well with other healthcare professionals, including pediatric nurses and nursing assistants to administer care
Other duties as assigned by the Head of Department, Medical Director, CEO, and/or Administration staff, to meet the goal of providing excellent health care to the community
Maintain and acquire knowledge and skills to perform required duties to meet all hospital, organizational and licensure requirements
Follow established guidelines for use and/or disclosure of protected health information
