We are looking for a detail-oriented and trustworthy Cashier to manage transactions at our wholesale outlet in GDH Thinadhoo. The ideal candidate will provide efficient, friendly service to customers, handle cash and electronic payments accurately, and support daily operations in a fast-paced wholesale environment.
Transaction Handling:
Process customer purchases accurately using the POS system (cash, card, and other payment methods).
Issue receipts, refunds, and change as required.
Ensure that all transactions are recorded and balanced at the end of the day.
Customer Service:
Greet and assist wholesale customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Answer basic queries about prices, products, and availability.
Handle customer complaints or direct them to the supervisor/manager when needed.
Cash Management:
Maintain the cash drawer, ensuring that it is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.
Count and verify cash and receipts against sales data.
Report any discrepancies to the Shop Manager immediately.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of daily sales, discounts, and returns.
Support the preparation of cash summaries for accounting and auditing purposes.
Support Store Operations:
Assist with stock checks, pricing, labeling, and shelf arrangement as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and order at the cashier counter and surrounding areas.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a cashier or retail assistant role (wholesale experience is an advantage).
Basic math skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with POS systems and standard cashier procedures.
Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Dhivehi is a plus.
Honest and reliable with a strong sense of responsibility.
Quick learner and adaptable to wholesale business operations.
Able to work flexible hours, including weekends or public holidays if required.
