General Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Cardiovascular Technology
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a hospital setting
• Registered at a licensing authority
• Good English communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

 

Job Specification

• Monitor patient’s intra cardiac pressures and ECG whilst patient is undergoing procedure
• Report operating clinician of any adverse reactions during the procedure
• Responsible for cardiac massage and defibrillation in the event of a cardiac arrest
• Prepare emergency pacing equipment for temporary pacing in the event of an emergency
• Assist to perform the procedures including angiography, PCI, CTO, IVUS, Rotablation, pressure wire, peripheral PCI, temporary and permanent pacemaker implants
• Assist cardiologist during non-invasive procedures in Cath lab, ICU & Diagnostic Department
• Responsible for patient registration, file work, maintaining the consumable stock, report preparation and patient scheduling
• Responsible for the maintenance, quality assurance and infection control of any equipment
• Liaise with relevant medical, nursing and clerical staff when required
