Job Description

General Requirements

  • Diploma in accounting, finance or statistics or equivalent qualification
  • 1 -2 years of experience in cash account reconciliation, cash posting or patient billing experience required
  • Experience in customer service preferred
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office with extensive Excel background preferred

Job Specification

  • Perform account reconciliation for all cash/payments received on a daily basis against the cash/payments posted on patient accounts
  • Prepare the daily cash reconciliation reports, analyze and reconcile any discrepancies
  • Prepare cashier excess and shortage excess reports
  • Reconcile transaction reports daily against service provider portal reports
  • Works closely with peers, other departments and management to ensure accounts accurately reflect the correct payment information to include amounts, dates and source of payment
  • Analyzes and problem solves all variances in reconciliation and reporting
  • Performs insurance pre-certification, verification and interviews patients prior to surgery
  • Verifies and obtains all patient eligibility, authorization, benefits and claim information with insurance companies
  • Determine the financial status of the guests and their eligibility for the health services and provide financial counseling
  • To respect and maintain privacy and dignity of guests, to assure client confidentiality at all times
  • Maintain and file daily and monthly files, reports and data in well-organized manner
  • Adhere to corporate standards and procedures in all reconciliation activities
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization
