Job Summary
The Head Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and efficiency. This role leads and motivates the kitchen team, manages food costs, develops menus, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations while delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, develop, and update menus based on seasonal ingredients, guest preferences, and business objectives.
* Prepare, cook, and supervise the production of high-quality dishes.
* Lead, train, schedule, and supervise all kitchen staff.
* Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation.
* Monitor inventory levels and order food and kitchen supplies as required.
* Control food costs, minimize waste, and manage kitchen budgets effectively.
* Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen.
* Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance or repairs when necessary.
* Work closely with the Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Handle guest feedback related to food quality and implement improvements when needed.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, and safety procedures.
