Job Title: Studio Manager

Report To: Studio Directors

Job Summary:

The Studio Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Clay Studio Maldives and ensuring the studio runs smoothly and efficiently. They will manage the studio tasks, staff, interns, visiting artists, and coordinate sales and marketing efforts. The Studio Manager will work closely with the studio owners to ensure the success of the studio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Studio Manager provides managerial, administrative, and operational support to ensure the efficient day-to-day functioning of The Clay Studio Maldives
  • Hire, train, and supervise studio staff, interns, and coordinate artist visits
  • Plan, schedule, advertise and implement classes/workshops, event planning and programming.
  • Task management to meet production deadlines
  • Coordinate sales, inventory and marketing efforts collaboratively with the team members, including preparing weekly sales reports.
  • Researching, testing, and ordering equipment, maintaining consumables inventories and ordering supplies
  • Work with suppliers, and vendors to ensure all materials and supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner
  • Maintain and update the studio's website and social media accounts
  • Ensure the studio is safe, clean, and well-maintained at all times
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with studio customers, clients, artists, and suppliers and manage all client communications.
  • Develop SOPs and safety guide for all programs, tools and equipment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Art, Ceramics, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a management role/ Project management experience
  • Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, artists, collaborators, staff and management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Working Conditions:
  • The Studio Manager is expected to work 48 hours per week, with some evenings and weekends as needed,
  • The studio is located in Hulhumale’ and requires reporting to work in person at the studio.
