TERMS OF REFERENCE 

Post: Software Developer 

Reporting relationship: Head of Department  

Gross Salary: - MVR 19,000.00  

Employment Type: Ordinary (first year on contract) 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:  

1. Design and implement applications or new features based on requirements of the corporation.  

1. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code that adheres to coding standards.  

1. Design and implement user interfaces for web-based/mobile applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.  

1. Develop APIs required for integration with other information systems.  

1. Debug and fix issues that arise in existing software.  

1. Contribute to the development of technical documentation, and user guides in accordance with standards.  

1. Work with project manager and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to specification.  

1. Stay up to date with the latest developments in software development and technologies relevant to the company.  

1. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time 

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATION (QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE): 

 

• Completion of MQA Level 7 Qualification in Computer Science or related field with minimum 2-5 years of professional work experience in the field. Or,  
• Completion of MQA Level 5 Qualification in Computer Science or related field with minimum 5-10 years of professional work experience in the field. 

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: 

• Proficiency in at least one programming language and familiarity with a variety of languages. 
• Proficiency in one or more of the following frameworks/libraries. React, Vue.js, Node.js, Laravel. Page 2 of 2  
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.  

• Familiarity with testing frameworks and the ability to write automated tests.  
• Experience with database design and management.  
• Experience in UX/UI design will be an added advantage.  
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements. 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
