We are looking for suitably qualified and dynamic Maldivian to fill in the following positions.

 

SENIOR RISK ANALYST (1) – RISK MANAGEMENT & COMPLIANCE

JOB SCOPE

Assist in formulation and implementation of Enterprise-Wide Risk Management (ERM) framework for the Bank. Monitor and analyze risks within the Bank’s business units and assist Unit Head-ERM to report on these risks to the CRO and Board Risk Management & Compliance Committee.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partake in establishment of the Enterprise Risk Management architecture for the Bank and development of Enterprise Risk Management tools, practices, and policies to analyse and report enterprise risks, and to manage risks according to an enterprise risk management framework.
• Establish and implement the Operations Risk Management framework at the Bank as envisaged in Basel Accord.
• Partake in the implementation of the Fraud Risk Prevention and Control framework of the Bank on enterprise level and undertake regular review of the fraud risks associated with each of the key processes at the Bank
• Assist in Drafting and maintaining of risk policies relating to risk governance and risk appetite.
• Undertake risk assessment and risk mitigation for all business operations and support functions of the Bank to ensure that all major risks are identified and mitigated. Also, identify key risks in major projects or product launches and ensure the business mitigates these risks.
• Partake in implementation and maintenance of a risk control self-assessment system for enterprise risk management.
• Implementation and maintenance of Risk monitoring through Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and assessing the adequacy of controls to manage such risks.
• Keep abreast with the latest risk management practices and/or standards and proactively adapt these practices and/or standards where appropriate.
• Ensure regular and timely reporting on the outcome of risk management activities undertaken and provide oversight and advice on the compliance with the ERM Framework
• Assist in cultivating an organisation-wide culture of risk awareness and management

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s Degree in related field with minimum 03 years of work experience in banking & finance and/or Risk Management in banking OR,
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field with minimum 04 years of work experience in banking & finance and/or Risk Management in banking OR,
• Diploma in related field with minimum 06 years of work experience in banking & finance with minimum 3 years in Risk Management in a bank.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) will be an added advantage.
• A knowledge of internal control or Risk Management Frameworks and Banking regulations will be an added advantage.
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects/multitasking.
• Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
• Interpretation and application of regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
