REGULATORY COMPLIANCE ANALYST (1) – RISK MANAGEMENT & COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT

JOB SCOPE

Work with the in-charge of the Regulatory Compliance Function and Partner with all the functions of the bank and relevant external stakeholder to ensure Compliance to Law, Regulations, Policies and Procedures

Key Responsibilities

Monitor, assess, and interpret all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Conduct Regulatory assessments to identify regulatory gaps in the bank’s operations, products, and services.
Assist in Conducting regulatory assessments to assess the level of compliance of the bank to the applicable laws, regulations, guidelines issued by regulators and other government bodies and internal Policies and procedures.
Review and conduct assessment on new products/services, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with the relevant laws / regulations.
Maintain a repository of all relevant laws/regulations and guidelines.
Assist in Developing and maintaining comprehensive policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Work collaboratively with business units to ensure that policies and procedures are practical, effective, and aligned with the relevant laws/regulations.
Assist in implementation of Enterprise-wide compliance via compliance program and procedure.
Assist in Performing risk-based reviews and assessments to identify compliance gaps, weaknesses, and potential areas of non-compliance.
Report findings to relevant board committee/senior management and recommend remedial actions as necessary.
Ensure timely and accurate internal and external regulatory reporting.
Follow-up and closure of issues identified regulatory gaps that are reported to the stakeholders.
Ensure that all observations appeared in the internal audit report, external audit report and the regulatory inspection reports are reviewed and took actions related to regulatory compliance.
Create awareness across the Bank pertaining regulatory requirements and its responsibilities for bank-wide compliance.
Effectively communicates emerging and/or changing regulatory requirements and related control opportunities and enhancements to Senior Management.
Assists Business Units in the development and implementation of the effective internal control, policies, and procedures to ensure Bank’ adherence to the relevant laws/regulations.
Collaborate with other departments within the bank, such as Human Resources, legal, and internal audit, to ensure a coordinated approach to fraud risk management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in related field OR,
Diploma in related field with minimum 03 years of work experience in a similar field.
Proficiency in MS office suite of applications.
Fluency in Oral and Written Communication.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with demonstrated ability to manage expectations and deliver results.
High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and sense of urgency.
Strong team player, self-starter, must be flexible and able to quickly adapt to change.
