Job Scope

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager/Civil Engineer to oversee and manage civil engineering projects from conception through completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a solid background in civil engineering principles. This role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and review project plans, designs, and specifications. Ensure all engineering and construction activities comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices. Coordinate with contractors and consultants, identifying the issues in the drawing and executing necessary changes in accordance with rules and regulations.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure effective communication among team members. Provide necessary training to team members to enhance their performance and skills.
• Prepare and manage project budgets. Monitor expenses, forecast costs, and ensure projects are completed within budget and corresponding project implementation schedule. Preparing relevant reports throughout the project and provide monthly basis update.
• Develop project schedules, establish milestones, and ensure timely completion of all project phases. Identify and address potential delays.
• Implement quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet the highest standards. Conduct regular site inspections and audits. Manage site on regular basis, and quantity surveyor teams, fostering effective collaboration for project continuity.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle. Implement rigorous risk management and quality management plan by ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations and company policies.
• Obtain necessary permits and ensure all project activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners. Provide regular project updates and address any concerns.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence. Prepare and submit progress reports. Monitoring contractors billing on monthly basis and cross check with the agreement payment terms.

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional engineering license (PE) is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering and project management. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D), project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities. Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is a plus.
