The role of the Primary Health care worker is to provide Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) related services to the clients.

 Qualification:          

  • Degree in Primary Health care with minimum of 1 year experience in related field.
  • Registered under Maldives Allied Health council.
  • Work Experience in the field of Sexual Reproductive Health will be an added advantage.

 Requirements:       

  • Basic knowledge of MS Office. (Word and Excel), typing Dhivehi and English.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Capacity to listen and take in others’ perspectives.
  • Capacity to apply sound clinical knowledge relevant to the job.
  • Able to priorities clinical need and maintain quality.
  • Able to maintain a professional relationship with patients and SRH team.
  • Able to adapt and work with employees to deliver improved patient care.
  • Able to work extended hours & travel on occasions when required.
  • Display honesty, integrity and being aware of confidentiality and ethical issues.
  • Show aptitude for practical skills, required in the job.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in different clinical settings required in the job.
  • Directs and supports patients to access the information they need, to support decision-making.
  • Capacity to work effectively in multi-professional teams.
  • Coping with pressure: capacity to operate under pressure.
  • Capacity to take responsibility for own actions and demonstrate a non-judgmental approach towards others.

 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:       

  • With the supervision of SRH Director, coordinate SRH related activities in multi-purpose health trips & general health education activities in Male’ and islands when required.
  • Provide counselling on family planning and other SRH related issues.
  • Regular follow up of clients, when on clinical duty.
  • Participate in SRH Related activities for island visits and mobile family clinics.
  • Identify and prepare write-ups on SRH Issues for the production of IEC Materials.
  • Filing & maintaining applicable correspondence & records keeping.
  • Ensure that the Contraceptive stocks and equipment’s are sufficient and the drugs are stored and used correctly including emergency preparedness stocks.

 

 

Working Hours:   0800 HRS to 1430 HRS

Working Days:      Sunday to Thursday (except weekend and all public holidays)

Salary Range: MRF 9,230.00 – 11,470.00 (will be determined based on qualification and experience)
