Job Description
System Installation and Configuration
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Set up new user accounts, profiles, and address password issues.
Monitoring and Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, and servers.
- Perform daily backup operations and restore HDFC servers (onsite and offsite).
- Ensure hardware is in optimal working condition by conducting regular servicing or part replacements.
- Monitor software licenses to prevent lapses or expirations.
- Ensure all ICT systems, including antivirus software, print services, and email, run smoothly.
Troubleshooting and Support
- Troubleshoot system, network, hardware, and software issues.
- Provide technical support and advice to users, ensuring rapid problem resolution.
- Repair and upgrade existing systems and assist in setting up new ones.
Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT activities.
- Assist in IT audits and periodic reviews.
- Contribute to documenting software development activities and processes.
Administration and Website Management
- Administer and manage the company website.
- Maintain an up-to-date IT inventory and expedite IT equipment orders.
- Plan IT requirements and resources for future needs.
Technology Evaluation and Rollouts
- Test and evaluate new technologies to improve IT infrastructure.
- Support the rollout of new applications.
Training and Collaboration
- Organize IT training sessions for users to enhance system utilization.
- Establish a good working rapport with users and professionals to improve collaboration.
Team Contribution
- Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field
Experience
- 2 years of work experience in a related field.
Skills
- Expertise in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of system and server maintenance, including backups and restores.
- Proficient in IT inventory management and licensing.
- Ability to evaluate and implement new technologies effectively.
- Excellent communication and user-support skills.
Salary: Salary ranging from MVR 15,000 to 17,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
