TERMS OF REFERENCE (TOR)

Post: IT Support Assistant

No of Vacancies: 01                  

Post Type: Temporary (One year contract)

Department: IT Department

Reporting to: IT Manager

 

Key Tasks, Responsibilities and Deliverables:  

  • Work with guidance of the System Administrator in IT troubleshooting.
  • Provide first line support in installation and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Provide support in maintaining the networks of the corporation.
  • Providing Desktop support including the following technologies: Microsoft Office 365 products, Windows and Linux Systems, Network printers, copiers and others as assigned.
  • Identify client system errors and recommends system modifications.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • GCE ‘A’ Level minimum two ‘C’ pass.

           Or,

  • GCE ‘O’ Level minimum three ‘C’ pass with 1 year’ relevant experience.

Additional Competencies required

  • Sufficient knowledge in technical support for Office 365 and Windows client environments.
  • Basic understanding of Linux and Windows Server Environments.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols.
  • Strong commitment and willing to work outside normal working hours when required.
  • Ability to lead and work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess and communicate issues clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver project objectives.

Remuneration Package

  • Gross pay between MVR 12,000 – MVR 13,000 depending on the Qualification and Experience.

Working Hours

  • The selected applicant will be required to work from 0800 to 1600 on weekdays.
