Post: IT Support Assistant

Post Type: Temporary (One year contract)
Department: IT Department
Reporting to: IT Manager
Key Tasks, Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Work with guidance of the System Administrator in IT troubleshooting.
- Provide first line support in installation and maintenance of IT equipment.
- Provide support in maintaining the networks of the corporation.
- Providing Desktop support including the following technologies: Microsoft Office 365 products, Windows and Linux Systems, Network printers, copiers and others as assigned.
- Identify client system errors and recommends system modifications.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- GCE ‘A’ Level minimum two ‘C’ pass.
Or,
- GCE ‘O’ Level minimum three ‘C’ pass with 1 year’ relevant experience.
Additional Competencies required
- Sufficient knowledge in technical support for Office 365 and Windows client environments.
- Basic understanding of Linux and Windows Server Environments.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols.
- Strong commitment and willing to work outside normal working hours when required.
- Ability to lead and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess and communicate issues clearly.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Attention to details.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver project objectives.
Remuneration Package
- Gross pay between MVR 12,000 – MVR 13,000 depending on the Qualification and Experience.
Working Hours
- The selected applicant will be required to work from 0800 to 1600 on weekdays.
