Job Description – Human Resource and Administrative Officer
Location: Gateway Group, Male’
Reports To: Executive Directors & Operations Director
Job Summary
The Human Resource and Administrative Officer is responsible for the efficient running of human resource operations and provide administrative support to the human resource function, such as record-keeping, file maintenance, recruitment and on-boarding for the Gateway Group of companies including Gateway Maldives Pvt Ltd, Vaagali Investment Pvt Ltd, HSC Maldives Pvt Ltd, Aifnan Properties Pvt Ltd and Noovilu Resorts Pvt Ltd.
The Human Resource and Administrative Officer will work in close coordination with the Executive Directors and the Director of Operations.
Job Description – Human Resource and Administrative Officer
- Contribute to the company’s human resource planning in line with the organisational strategy
- Maintain human resources records for employees, ensuring records are kept confidential.
- Ensure recruitment practices are fair and consistent and comply with regulations and organisational good practice.
- Responsible for preparing HR documents, maintaining accurate and complete personnel and recruitment files.
- Prepare monthly Payroll, ensuring staff changes including staff recruitments, terminations and staff leaves etc. are accurately reflected on HR Monthly Reports.
- Working with senior management, identify staff development/training requirements and identify ways in which training needs can be met.
- Advise and assist Line Managers in performance management processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Gateway Group’s human resources and administrative policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures, liaising with other Operations Managers/Officers.
- Manage the IT administration and support IT functions when relevant.
- Ensure the efficient running of Gateway Group’s office/s, working with all umbrella companies to identify needs and improve or develop systems where necessary.
- Ensure that all lease, insurance and other legal documents are in order, up-to-date, cost effective and relevant.
- Perform any other duty as required by the Managing Director and senior management.
Required Skills and Experience
- Advanced Certificate or Diploma in Human Resource Management.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the field of Human Resource, Administration.
- Knowledge of Maldivian labor laws and regulations is an advantage.
- Experience in handling foreign worker documentation and visa processes is preferred.
- Ability to work independently under pressure with several tasks and various deadlines.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
- Ability to actively generate creative, practical approaches and solutions to overcome challenging situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent writing, presentation/public speaking skills in English & Dhivehi.
