As the resort Financial Controller, he/she shall be responsible for the short and long-term planning and the management of the finance operations to achieve or meet/exceed financial goals.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in a five-star resort/hotel. Experience in the Maldives is preferred.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Opera, Sun System, MC, and Micros is preferred.
Demonstrable strong leadership skills in a professional environment with a passion for Finance.
Thoroughly explain financial performance and key variances from budget, forecast, and prior year to the General Manager, Chief Financial Officer, and the Directors of the company.
Prepare monthly analysis of financial/operational results and identify action plans required to improve business performanc e.
Oversee capital planning, capital forecasting, and business case development for key investments.
Conversant and knowledgeable on the appropriate application of the various statutory rules, laws, and requirements of The Maldives.
Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL and Cost Controlling, Credit Controlling, Inventory Accounting, Purchasing, Receiving, Stores, and Revenue Recognition.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Continuously evaluate the performance and encourage the improvement of the Finance staff members.
