Role Overview

Gulf Craft Maldives is seeking a skilled Carpenter to support the construction, repair, and finishing of marine and interior woodwork.

This role involves working on high-quality wooden structures and fittings, particularly within boats and yachts, ensuring precision, durability, and premium finishing standards. The ideal candidate should have hands-on carpentry experience and attention to detail, especially in marine or luxury environments.

Key Responsibilities

Carpentry & Fabrication

• Carry out carpentry work including cutting, shaping, and assembling wood components
• Assist in building and installing wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings
• Work on custom woodwork as per design specifications

Installation & Finishing

• Install furniture, panels, decking, cabinetry, and other wooden elements
• Ensure high-quality finishes, including sanding, polishing, and varnishing
• Align and fit components accurately to ensure durability and aesthetics

Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform repairs on damaged wooden structures and fittings
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of carpentry work
• Replace or refurbish worn-out components as required

Marine & Yacht Support

• Assist in carpentry work related to boat and yacht interiors/exteriors
• Ensure materials and finishes are suitable for marine environments
• Support installation of decking and interior fittings on vessels

Workplace Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures and use tools and equipment properly
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Ensure compliance with company standards and quality requirements

Candidate Profile

• 2–4 years of experience in carpentry or related field
• Experience in marine, furniture, or interior carpentry preferred
• Basic understanding of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques
• Based in the Maldives or willing to relocate
