ASSISTANT MANAGER (1) – TRADE FINANCE & REMITTANCE / OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT
JOB SCOPE
Responsible for issuing / processing all activities relating to the Remittance transactions, i.e., Outward & Inward Remittance end to end transaction and preparing / calculating statements / figures related to Remittance transactions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advising customers on any enquiries related to remittance matters.
- Receiving and processing outward (TT) and inward (IR) remittance, after ensuring supporting documents are in order.
- Checking and updating requests received in REV9.
- Receiving and updating ApplyNow transfer requests.
- Updating internal and correspondent bank blacklists and advisories.
- Creating and modifying SWIFT messages.
- Sending TT copies to the customers daily.
- Daily Maintenance and updating of outward (TT) and inward (IR) remittance related registers.
- Following up on unresolved correspondent bank queries on TT with customers.
- Preparing replies to correspondent banks within the specified time frame.
- Informing the Manager or Unit Head on any fake or suspicious transactions or any transaction related to Money Laundering.
- Processing all the transactions according to SOPs and Manuals.
- Scanning, archiving, and filing remittance related documents.
- Arranging daily transaction vouchers.
- Maintenance of Trade Finance Dept. stationary stock / other administrative functions
- Promptly attending to customer queries received to the department through emails, phone, and other means, and attending to tickets raised by customer services.
- Performing as a team member in allocating and coordinating the workflow.
- Promote and maintain positive relations with all contacts, customers, and potential customers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Banking & Finance or related professional qualification.
- Priority will be given to candidates with prior experience in a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in the following software applications: MS Work, Excel, and Outlook. Fluent in written and verbal communication
