Job Summary
The Supervisor, Retail supports the Retail Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring efficiency, and guiding the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience. The role involves assisting with inventory management, scheduling, and maintaining overall store performance while driving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Retail Manager in handling the retail team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Support with managing both physical store and online store operations in the Maldives.
- Guide and support retail staff in maintaining a welcoming and engaging store environment.
- Assist in scheduling and managing shifts to ensure proper store coverage.
- Ensure accurate and efficient handling of sales transactions and adherence to money-handling
- procedures.
- Maintain inventory accuracy, record stock counts, and report stock levels.
- Oversee online order fulfillment, coordinating with couriers for both local and international shipments.
- Monitor customer feedback and complaints, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Manage customer inquiries via email, social media, and phone.
- Maintain shop displays, store presentation, and cleanliness.
- Ensure accurate end-of-day register and cash settlement procedures.
- Support the Retail Manager in analyzing store performance, pulling analytics, and preparing reports for staff reviews.
- Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and mentoring for the retail team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and local regulations.
- Maintain store security protocols, preventing shrinkage and safeguarding company assets.
- Regularly monitor individual and team KPIs (conversion rates, sales targets, customer satisfaction scores) and implement improvement strategies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of proven experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service supervision preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Comfortable with using point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dhivehi is a plus.
