Position Title: Sports Therapist (full-time or part-time, local or expatriate)

Reports To: Clinic Manager

Work Location: Oasis Health Clinic, Male 

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Sports Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The Sports Therapist will play a vital role in assessing, rehabilitating, and preventing sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports therapy techniques, injury management, and rehabilitation, with a passion for helping athletes and active individuals achieve optimal performance and recovery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed assessments of athletes’ or patients’ physical conditions, including injury evaluation and movement analysis.
  • Develop personalized treatment and rehabilitation plans tailored to individual needs and activity levels.
  • Implement evidence-based sports therapy interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and injury prevention strategies.
  • Educate patients on injury management, rehabilitation exercises, and techniques to enhance recovery and prevent future injuries.
  • Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists, doctors, and trainers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
  • Stay updated with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in sports injury management and rehabilitation.
  • Promote awareness about sports health and injury prevention within the community and support health promotion initiatives.
  • Adhere to safety, hygiene, and ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and professional conduct.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree or diploma in Sports Therapy, Sports Science, Physiotherapy, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in sports injury assessment, rehabilitation, and injury prevention.
  • Knowledge of manual therapy, exercise therapy, and modern sports rehabilitation equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Passionate, proactive, and detail-oriented with a patient-centered approach.
  • Good understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and injury mechanisms relevant to sports and active lifestyles.
