Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for all departments.
  • Prepare job descriptions and advertise vacancies.
  • Screen applicants, conduct interviews, and coordinate hiring.
  • Manage onboarding and orientation for new employees.
  • Ensure all employment contracts and documentation are completed accurately.

Employee Relations

  • Act as the primary point of contact for HR-related matters.
  • Resolve workplace concerns professionally and confidentially.
  • Foster a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation.

Performance Management

  • Develop and manage employee performance review systems.
  • Conduct probation evaluations and annual appraisals.
  • Work with department heads to improve employee performance.
  • Assist in succession planning and career development.

HR Policies & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and regularly update HR policies and SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with Maldives Employment Act and labor regulations.
  • Manage disciplinary procedures and employee grievances.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all HR records and company information.

Learning & Development

  • Identify training needs across departments.
  • Organize staff training, workshops, and development programs.
  • Support leadership development and employee growth initiatives.

Payroll & Benefits

  • Coordinate monthly payroll with the Finance department.
  • Manage attendance, leave records, overtime, and employee benefits.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy and timely processing.

Organizational Development

  • Recommend improvements to HR processes and systems.
  • Support company expansion through strategic workforce planning.
  • Build initiatives that improve employee engagement and retention.

Administration

  • Maintain HR databases and employee files.
  • Prepare HR reports and workforce analytics.
  • Handle employment letters, confirmations, and HR correspondence.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certifications are an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • At least 2 years in an HR Manager or HR Generalist role is preferred.
  • Experience in retail, luxury brands, hospitality, or fast-growing companies is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Maldives Employment Act and HR best practices.
  • Experience with recruitment and interviewing.
  • Payroll and attendance management experience.
  • Strong understanding of performance management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with HR software is an advantage.
