REQUIREMENTS
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Insurance or similar qualification
▪ Minimum of 8 or more years of experience in the Actuarial and/or insurance field, and 5 years of Life Insurance Underwriting experience
▪ At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role of a Life Insurance Underwriting
▪ Thorough knowledge of life insurance, risk selection and medical terminology, diseases and conditions
▪ Demonstrated ability and commitment to consistently delivering exceptional customer service
▪ A positive attitude with a desire to grow professionally and contribute to the success and culture of the company
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Responsible for the day-to-day Underwriting assessment and evaluation of Life and Family Takaful proposals
▪ Manage, develop, implement, and maintain all Underwriting activities for Life and Family Takaful, in accordance with established policies and Standard Operating Procedures
▪ Identify opportunities to improve customer/leads conversion and sales team performance by analyzing data and key performance indicators
▪ Contributes to Company’s operations by effective coordination with other departments including areas of claims, policy issue and policy change
▪ Ensures the maintenance of good customer/agency relationships through sensitive, flexible and responsive handling of customers/agents’ questions and concerns relating to new business and underwriting
