Job Overview

As the Brand Photographer and Content Creator at Oevaali Art Shop, you will play a key role in capturing the essence of our Maldivian-inspired designs and crafting visually compelling stories for our audience. This role combines product photography, videography, and creative content curation to elevate Oevaali Art Shop’s brand image across digital and in-store platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Product Photography and Visual Aesthetics

Conduct professional product photography sessions that highlight the details, and artistry.
Create and maintain a consistent visual style that aligns with the brand's identity and aesthetic, ensuring each image feels cohesive and true to the brand.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop visual concepts that bring out the Maldivian influences and unique character of our collections.
Edit photos for website, social media, and print materials, ensuring high quality and attention to detail.

Videography and Content Creation

Plan, shoot, and edit short videos and reels for various platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, showcasing new collections, behind-the-scenes content, and brand stories.
Craft engaging lifestyle and product videos that bring products to life, highlighting their cultural and artisanal roots.
Utilize diverse videography techniques, including stop motion and timelapse, to add creative depth to content.

Brand Identity and Visual Aesthetics

Maintain the brand’s visual consistency across all platforms, ensuring all content feels on-brand and upholds Oevaali Art Shop’s artistic reputation.
Keep up-to-date with visual trends, incorporating them into the brand while maintaining Oevaali’s unique identity.
Collaborate closely with designers and marketing to ensure all visuals align with brand values, seasonal trends, and product collections.

Event and Lifestyle Photography

Capture lifestyle and candid shots at brand events, store openings, and influencer collaborations to convey the vibrant Oevaali Art Shop experience.
Provide on-location photography to feature products within natural and authentic settings, enhancing brand storytelling.

Content Planning and Creative Strategy

Collaborate in brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh visual concepts for campaigns, collections, and new products.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience: 2-3 years in photography, content creation, or a similar role.
Technical Skills & Equipment: Professional Camera, proficient in photography, videography, and editing softwares (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro).
Creativity: Strong eye for aesthetics, composition, and storytelling, with the ability to produce original and compelling visual content.
Knowledge of Social Media: Understanding of content trends across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, with experience in creating platform-specific content.
Attention to Detail: Excellent focus on maintaining the highest quality and consistency in all visuals.
Collaboration Skills: Ability to work cross-functionally with the marketing, design, and retail teams.
Adaptability: Willingness to experiment with new ideas and adapt to the evolving needs of the brand.

Additional Information

This role may occasionally require flexible hours for special events or peak periods. A portfolio of past photography and content work is required to showcase skills and alignment with Oevaali Art Shop’s aesthetic.
