ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Accounts Assistant will have the responsibility of performing accounting tasks, including processing payments, maintaining financial records, and overseeing invoice management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processing and Recording Transactions: Handling and accurately entering financial transactions into accounting software.
- Invoice Management: Creating, processing, and tracking invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Managing payments owed to suppliers (payables) and payments due from customers (receivables).
- Petty Cash Management: Monitoring and maintaining petty cash funds, including tracking expenses and reconciling.
- Expense Reporting: Compiling, verifying, and submitting employee expense reports for reimbursement.
- Financial Record Maintenance: Organizing and updating financial records, ledgers, and databases.
- Communication: Collaborating with other teams and departments to ensure accurate financial information and resolve discrepancies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 passes in GCE A“ Level including Accounting, or a Diploma in Accounting
- Minimum of 1 year’s work experience in the Accounting field.
- Competent in the use of MS. Office.
- Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills.
