Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital—formerly known as Thinadhoo Regional Hospital—is a long‑standing healthcare institution in the Maldives with a legacy of more than 55 years. Established in 1969, the hospital has evolved from a small regional facility into a modern, full‑service hospital that provides essential medical care to the communities of G.A. and G.Dh. Atoll. In 2024, it was renamed to honor Dr. Abdul Samad Abdulla, a former Foreign Minister of the Maldives and a significant contributor to the nation’s healthcare development. 1 Today, the hospital offers a wide range of services including laboratory testing, X-ray, dialysis, operation theatre services, CT scanning, and mammography, ensuring comprehensive and patient‑centered care for the region.
