Job Description
Risk Policy and Procedure Development
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive risk management policies and procedures aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Support periodic review and update of risk management frameworks to ensure relevance, efficiency, and alignment with industry best practices.
Data Systems and Risk Assessment Processes
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of systems and processes for collecting, storing, and analyzing data necessary for thorough and ongoing risk assessments.
- Assist in identifying internal and external events affecting the Corporation, assess their impact, and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Monitoring
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous monitoring of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to effectively track and report on risk exposure across business units.
- Ensure timely escalation of emerging risks or anomalies detected through KRI monitoring.
Data Analysis and Emerging Risk Identification
- Conduct company-level and departmental risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities, control weaknesses, and compliance gaps.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, anomalies, or patterns that may indicate emerging risks.
- Provide insights to management on potential impacts and recommend proactive risk mitigation measures.
Risk Dashboard and Reporting
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of the Risk Dashboard for management reporting.
- Prepare and present risk and compliance reports to senior management, highlighting exposures, and recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with all departments to implement security controls and compliance measures.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with risk management standards.
Event and Incident Response
- Assist in identifying internal and external events affecting the organization, evaluate their potential impact, and support the development of responsive risk mitigation strategies.
Regulatory Compliance and Audit Support
- Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends and ensure compliance with applicable laws and guidelines.
- Provide support during audits, assessments, and regulatory inspections, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
Risk Culture and Awareness
- Promote a culture of risk awareness across the organization by conducting periodic training and awareness programs.
- Participate in the development and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure organizational preparedness for adverse events.
Sharia’h Risk Management
- Support the identification, monitoring, and mitigation of Shariah non-compliance risks in Islamic finance operations.
- Collaborate with the Shariah Compliance Officer and relevant departments to resolve and mitigate identified Shariah-related risks.
Ad Hoc and Special Projects
- Provide analytical and operational support on risk-related tasks or projects as required by senior management.
Job Requirements & other competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Risk Management, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in risk analysis, compliance, audit, or related roles.
- Proficiency in Excel, risk modeling tools, and data visualization software.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, corporate governance and Risk Management best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
Salary: Salary ranging from MVR 15,500 to MVR 23,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
