Job Summary
The Sales Executive, Retail engages with customers to provide personalized recommendations, promote products and drive sales. Key responsibilities include processing transactions, assisting with online orders, managing inventory, maintaining store displays, and ensuring a clean, organized environment. The role also involves addressing customer inquiries and supporting daily store operations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet and engage customers upon entry, understand their needs, and guide them through relevant products using storytelling, strong product knowledge, and personalised recommendations
- Own the end-to-end customer journey from entry to exit at Oevaali Art Shop Retail, ensuring a seamless and high-quality in-store experience through attentive service, product guidance, and personalised engagement
- Drive sales through effective upselling and cross-selling while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence
- Assist with product recommendations and curated selections for personal gifting, high-end clientele, and corporate gifting requirements by providing tailored solutions based on customer needs, occasions, and budget
- Proactively reach out to regular customers and clients when relevant artworks or products become available, while building and maintaining strong relationships to encourage repeat visits, customer retention, and long-term loyalty
- Promote and encourage loyalty program sign-ups by clearly communicating its benefits, while ensuring accurate issuance and redemption of loyalty points in accordance with company procedures
eCommerce
- Prepare and process daily online orders, ensuring accurate verification of products and customer details prior to dispatch and fulfillment of order upon delivery
- Coordinate with courier services to ensure timely pickup, delivery, and of fulfilment of orders
- Ensure all online orders are accurately synced and processed across the eCommerce platform and relevant merchant portals
- Process international orders and coordinate effectively with courier partners such as FedEx to ensure smooth international deliveries
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries across social media platforms, help desk emails, and customer emails in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with the Singapore team when required to ensure smooth communication, order handling, and customer satisfaction
Inventory & Retail Operations
- Maintain proper inventory management and product availability
- Prepare daily restock lists and coordinate with the inventory department
- Collaborate with the team during monthly stock counts
- Ensure operational and packaging supplies are adequately maintained
- Accurately complete and maintain Retail Sheets to support coordination between retail, inventory, and other departments
- Assist with backend operational tasks including packing and quality checks
- Ensure all tasks related to events, promotions, and product launches are completed efficiently
- Ensure proper team coordination for daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks
- Ensure all opening and closing operational procedures are completed efficiently, including store setup, organization, end-of-day closing tasks, and daily settlement procedures
Visual Merchandising & Store Upkeep
- Carry out daily cleaning and upkeep to maintain a presentable store environment at all times
- Maintain daily display standards and conduct display resets
- Ensure the store remains organized, clean, and visually appealing
- Support overall customer experience standards within the retail environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any field
- Excellent written English and conversational English / Dhivehi to handle international and local customers
- Strong initiative and willingness to learn in a dynamic, new environment
- Positive "can-do" attitude with a proactive approach to tasks
