Administer psychological assessments and diagnoses.
When necessary provide recommendations for appropriate treatment/intervention.
Plan and provide appropriate treatment/intervention.
Development of program protocols and guidelines for skills acquisition and behaviour modification.
Provide direct client care (Interventions) in one-to-one and group settings following the prescribed behavioural skill acquisition and behaviour modification protocols.
Follow and record data for prescribed protocols.
Maintain clinical notes, assessment records, tests, and other client-related documents in a safe and secure manner.
If required, liaise with parents/caregivers and teachers training in line with the client’s individualized treatment and behaviour modification protocols.
Effectively communicate with the client regarding their treatment progress.
Preparation of client’s assessment reports
Preparation of necessary documents for clients (Eg: NSPA letters, Letters of recommendations)
Utilize safe & appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
Monitor and safe maintenance of psychological assessment resources.
Collaborate with the treatment team including clients, parents and caregivers, outside professionals, interns, and co-workers.
Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training.
Conduct staff training when necessary
Provide team consultations when necessary.
Attend and participate in clinical meetings.
Participate in/conduct awareness programs for the public when necessary.
Participate and assist in research conducted at the organization.
Supervise and guide the interns and assistant psychologist
The supervisory role includes:
Training the supervisees as appropriate and when necessary.
Assist the supervisee in clarifying, exploring, thinking, and reflecting on feelings and perceptions underlying their work practice.
Give clear concise and constructive feedback where appropriate.
Facilitate appropriate information, experience and skill sharing.
Monitor that the supervisee is coping with their clinical workload and address the issue of burnout as required.
