Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects. This role is ideal for someone with solid project execution experience who can manage timelines, coordination, reporting, site follow-up, and day-to-day project administration. This position is intended for a mid-level project professional rather than a highly senior executive role. The successful candidate should be hands-on, organised, and comfortable working across multiple stakeholders to keep projects on track in terms of time, cost, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor construction projects from initiation through completion.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, trackers, progress reports, and action registers.
  • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, site teams, and client representatives.
  • Monitor project progress against timeline, scope, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Identify delays, risks, design and coordination issues, and implementation challenges.
  • Support procurement planning, material coordination, and subcontractor follow-up.
  • Review site progress and help ensure work is executed in accordance with project requirements.
  • Track variations, commercial issues, and reporting items with internal teams.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, status updates, and management reports.
  • Maintain proper documentation and communication across the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in project management, project coordination, or construction delivery.
  • Good understanding of construction sequencing, site coordination, reporting, and project controls.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, project trackers (MS Projects or equivalent), and standard reporting tools.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned projects and follow through on deliverables.

Preferred

  • Experience in resort, housing, civil, fit-out, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working with contractors in the Maldives or abroad.
  • Practical familiarity with cost, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
