ވަޒީފާގެ ތަފްޞީލު

Marine Electrician

Responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of vessel electrical systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation in demanding tropical marine environments.

Responsibilities 

  • Install, inspect, and maintain generators, switchboards, and power distribution systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in navigation equipment, lighting systems, and onboard alarm systems.
  • Maintain and service battery banks, charging systems, and emergency backup power systems.
  • Ensure all electrical systems comply with Maldives Maritime Authority regulations and SOLAS standards.
  • Conduct insulation resistance testing, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements

  • Marine Electrical Certification (STCW compliant preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in marine electrical systems or vessel maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of electrical protection methods in high-humidity and marine environments.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently in operational marine settings.
