Job Description

  • The Tax Compliance Manager leads the firm’s tax compliance function, ensures accurate, timely preparation and filing of statutory tax returns (Income Tax, GST/TGST, Non-Resident Withholding Tax, Green Tax and other sectoral filings), manages client compliance portfolios, coordinates audits and responses, and supervises a team of associates and seniors. The role requires strong technical skills, operational discipline, and client communication.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review GST/TGST returns, Non-Resident Withholding Tax returns, Green Tax returns, and corporate / individual Income Tax computations and returns with high accuracy.
  • Maintain and reconcile tax schedules, filing trackers and calendars to meet statutory deadlines.
  • Manage and oversee client portfolio of clients end-to-end.
  • Coordinate document submissions and responses during tax audits and liaise with MIRA on client matters as required.
  • Oversee the subordinates, review their performance and guide them.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CA/CPA).
  • 4-7 years of practical tax compliance experience (public practice or corporate tax), with demonstrable experience in GST, NWT and income tax filings.
  • Prior experience supervising a team and coordinating with tax authorities is preferred.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong team leadership and supervision skills.
  • Proficiency in using MIRA resources and e-filing systems; skilled at tax research and statutory interpretation.
  • Basic commercial understanding and ability to flag tax planning opportunities and high-risk areas to seniors.
  • Time and portfolio management.

Additional Information

  • Salary negotiable based on qualification and experience.

  • Working Hours 08:00 – 15:30 (Sunday to Thursday)
