Position Overview:
The Assistant Environmental Analyst supports our team in assessing, managing, and mitigating the environmental impact of projects and operations. This role involves data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and to promote sustainable practices
Responsibilities :
Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in gathering environmental data from various sources, including fieldwork, reports, and databases, analyze it to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues, and prepare detailed reports and presentations based on the analysis.
Regulatory Compliance: Support in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations by assisting in preparing and submitting required environmental documentation and permits, and monitoring and tracking regulatory changes and updates.
Environmental Assessments: Participate in environmental site assessments, inspections, and audits, assist in conducting environmental impact assessments (EIA) and risk assessments, and help develop and implement environmental management plans.
Sustainability Initiatives: Support sustainability projects and initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact by assisting in the development and implementation of green practices, programs, and initiatives.
Communication and Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure project goals are met while maintaining clear and effective communication and assisting in organizing and participating in meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of environmental data, reports, and communications, prepare and distribute regular environmental reports and updates to relevant parties, and assist in the development of public outreach materials and educational resources.
Requirements (Preferred but not mandatory):
- 0-2 years of experience in environmental management, analysis, environmental science, or a related field. Internships or academic projects related to environmental management are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and environmental monitoring software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and standards.
- Office environment with fieldwork as required.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Some travel may be required to attend meetings, site visits, and training sessions.
