GN. Atoll Education Center was established on April 20, 1982, in Fuvahmulah. In 1990, the school was authorized to offer Secondary Grades 8, 9, and 10, becoming the first school in GN Atoll to provide secondary education. Further expansion continued with the introduction of Advanced Level education (Grades 11 and 12) in 2004, followed by the addition of BTEC programs in 2014 and BTEC A Level in 2017. In 2019, the school implemented Key Stages 3 and 4 under the National Curriculum. Today, the school serves 513 students and continues to achieve strong national-level results in O’Level and A’Level examinations.
