About Us
'Dhiggaru School was established on 22nd February 1982 as a registered school with a first batch of students for grade 1. The initial functioning of school was monitored by the Dhiggaru Community. In the year 1999, 24 students passed in the entrance test conducted for grade 7 by ministry of education. As a reward to this success, the school was upgraded to the status of a secondary school in 2000 with the first batch of students of grade 8. In 2006, the school was declared as a government school. In 2009 with the excellent result in O’Level examinations, the school was granted permission to extend A’ level education and was upgraded as a Higher Secondary school.
