Maldives: Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth "MEERY" is an initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development.
It is a five-year world bank-funded project aimed at empowering the youth and creating opportunities. The main objective is to improve relevance of technical, vocational skills and foster entrepreneurship to promote youth employment in priority sectors.
As part of the Ministry of Economic Development's efforts to empower local entrepreneurs economically, the MEERY PMU has launched the Grants Programs for Women-led Businesses and Tailoring Businesses.
The Grants Program for Women led-businesses aims to provide financial support and training to expand ongoing businesses or to develop businesses for those who want to start Nascent / Start-up businesses.
The Grants Program for Tailoring Business aims to provide financial support and training to expand tailoring businesses or to develop Tailoring Nascent / Start-up businesses.
